Financial Planning Week

Many participate in Financial Planning Week. Industry leaders sponsor it.

Each year as an integral part of Financial Literacy Month one week in November is dedicated to Financial Planning. This has been a national initiative for the past 6 years and has picked up tremendous steam over the past couple of years with the financial services industry. During Financial Planning Week (FPW), FPSC hosts a number of events. Of particular note is the Celebration of the Profession Dinner that is held in Toronto on November 18th which attracts industry leaders, members of all levels of government, regulators, media and planners. Following the dinner we are hosting two identical CFP® professional symposiums (which constitute a full day of CE) – the first in Toronto on November 19th and the second in Vancouver on the 21st. We bring in speakers from across North America for these events and are able to keep the admission costs low through the generosity of our sponsors. The feedback we received from last year's dinner and symposium was great; this year's lineup of presenters is even stronger and we have expanded the venue to include both Toronto and Vancouver. This coupled with the advertising and outreach initiatives that we have planned creates strong opportunities for our sponsors’ brands.
