FPSC-Hosted Event Highlights
We were pleased to welcome a record 700 delegates to our 2015 events, which included the CFP Professional Symposiums in Toronto and Vancouver, new Ethics Breakfast Sessions in Toronto and Vancouver, and Celebration of the Profession Dinner in Toronto. The events were attended by stakeholders from across Canada, with representation from Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

2015 Awareness Campaign 
FPSC’s annual Financial Planning Week awareness campaign included a variety of marketing initiatives to help raise awareness about financial planning and its importance to the well-being of Canadians. The following activities took place leading up to and during Financial Planning Week:

  • Build Your Financial Plan with a CFP Professional: From November 2 to 22, FPSC’s television campaign aired across the country on CBC Television and CBC News Network. The television commercial and YouTube video drove viewers to the FPSC website and “Find a Planner or Certificant” tool.
  • Globe and Mail Financial Planning Special Feature: The print edition of The Globe and Mail’s annual insert was published on November 16, with an online component that will be updated and promoted through January 2016.
  • FP Standard: FPSC’s semi-annual publication of ideas, thoughts and trends in the financial planning profession was published on November 7. It reached more than 70,000 readers in the financial services industry through insertion in Investment Executive.
