FPSC-Hosted Event Highlights

We were pleased to welcome a record 1100 delegates to our 2016 events, which included the CFP Professional Symposiums in Toronto and Vancouver, Ethics Breakfast Sessions in Toronto and Vancouver, and Celebration of the Profession Dinner in Toronto. The events were attended by stakeholders from across Canada, with representation from Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.
 

2016 Awareness Campaign 

FPSC’s annual Financial Planning Week awareness campaign included a variety of marketing initiatives to help raise awareness about financial planning and its importance to the well-being of Canadians. The following activities took place leading up to and during Financial Planning Week:
  • Globe and Mail Financial Planning Special Feature: The print edition of The Globe and Mail’s annual insert was published on November 21 and read by approximately 1.4 million people across Canada. There is an online component that will be updated and promoted through January 2017.
  • FP Standard: FPSC’s semi-annual publication of ideas, thoughts and trends in the financial planning profession was published on November 14. It reached more than 70,000 readers in the financial services industry through insertion in Investment Executive.
  • CARP Member Outreach: In conjunction with an advertising campaign in Zoomer magazine, a dedicated e-blast about the value of financial planning and how to find a qualified planner reached 80,000 CARP members on November 23.
  • An Investment Executive advertisement reached more than 42,000 readers across the country.
  • A digital advertising campaign was viewed more than 3 million times through Google AdWords (2.7 million views) and Facebook Advertising (400,000 views)
