Results now available for the CFP examination
Toronto, ON, January 17, 2017 - Results are now available for the June sitting of the CFP® examination, which took place at more than 40 testing centres across Canada on November 25, 2016.
A total of 439 candidates wrote the CFP examination, the second and final exam on the path to CFP certification. The overall pass rate was 67%. Of the candidates who wrote the exam, 308 were first-time writers (76% pass rate), while 131 were reattempting the exam (57% pass rate).
Considered the standard in financial planning, the CFP designation is obtained through extensive education, a rigorous standardized national examination process, real-world work experience requirements and accountability to FPSC for a code of ethics, practice standards, and the rules and regulations of a professional body. More information about the path to CFP certification is available on FPSC’s Be a Planner website.
Examinations are offered twice per year, with the next sitting taking place on Friday, June 2. Registration is open now; candidates can register here.
