Educator Conference

2010 FPSC Educator Conference, May 18-19, 2010

Each year, FPSC holds an Educator Conference, welcoming educators from across Canada to discuss and collaborate with FPSC on all aspects of educational requirements for CFP® certification and on teaching of financial planning in general.

Thank you to our sponsors, delegates and exhibitors for helping to make the 2010 FPSC Educator Conference such a success.  It clearly achieved our goals – to build on prior conferences, experiment with new topics and approaches, and develop new insights from educators through discussion, questions, and a rich exchange of ideas.

In terms of conference survey results, 85% of survey respondents rated the presentations and speakers as either very good or excellent, 95% of respondents rated the facilities as either very good or excellent and all respondents indicated that they will either definitely or very likely attend next year’s conference.  We have also provided some representative qualitative feedback from survey respondents:

  • Thank you for an excellent session, I look forward to attending next year!
  • The perspective of grads and employers was VERY useful for me personally.
  • Student panel was excellent!!
  • Capstone discussion new, relevant and applicable
  • The “breadth” of the speakers was ideal and “depth” is excellent.
  • Great location, food, service – thank you!
  • Overall an excellent job! Very informative and interesting.

We look forward to announcing our 2011 FPSC Educator Conference by fall 2010 and welcome any ideas for topics and speakers that you may have via email to Joan Yudelson, Director Education (jyudelson@fpsc.ca).
