President & CEO
Cary brings almost two decades of relevant experience and proven dedication to the advancement of the financial planning profession to the helm of Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC). He has led FPSC to a strong strategic vision, and under his guidance FPSC has been established as the premier standards-setter for financial planning in Canada.

John Wickett, PhD
Senior Vice President, Standards & Certification
John guides FPSC's development and evaluation of CFP knowledge, competencies and standards of practice for pre- and post-certification requirements. He works with his internal team and external experts to ensure the continued relevance of FPSC's certification program so that FPSC can continue to supply Canadians with competent and ethical financial planners.

Tamara Smith, MBA
Vice President, Marketing & Consumer Affairs
With over 12 years of marketing communications and financial services experience working with national providers in the mutual fund, brokerage, and insurance and banking sectors, Tamara brings a fresh perspective to Financial Planning Standards Council’s communications team.

Stephen Rotstein, BA, LL.B.
Vice President, Policy & Enforcement & General Counsel
Stephen is responsible for oversight of all regulatory, government and public policy issues related to financial planning. In this role, Stephen deals with regulators, government officials and external stakeholders to ensure FPSC’s voice is heard on financial planning related matters and FPSC’s standards for financial planning are incorporated into legislation, regulations and rules where appropriate.
