About Financial Planning Week

Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) has declared October 5-12 as the inaugural "Financial Planning Week" as part of an ongoing campaign to make financial planning more a part of Canadians' lives.

The goal of the week is to raise awareness and invite a call to action to all stakeholders to collaborate and enact meaningful change for the benefit of all Canadians. Concurrently, similar themed weeks are being held in Quebec and U.S.

As the standard-setter of financial planning, FPSC has been at the forefront of the financial planning profession since 1995. "We are in a unique position to highlight the need for and contribute to a heightened effort to enact change for all Canadians. Every stakeholder - individuals, industry, regulators, educators and others - needs to be part of the solution," adds List.
