Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with FPSC gives you professional benefits and personal rewards, while also providing an opportunity to contribute to the financial planning profession.
From exam item writing to committees to public outreach to ethics hearing panels, our professionals help build and promote the profession of financial planning and the value of CFP certification. And their passion and dedication is impressive: from January 1, 2009 – March 31, 2010, CFP professionals logged almost 6,000 hours in various volunteer capacities for FPSC.

Financial Planning Week Health Check Ups
Join us in celebrating the second annual Financial Planning Week (October 4-10)!
Financial Planning Week (FPW) aims to raise awareness of the importance of financial planning and provoke a call to action to all stakeholders so that we can enhance financial planning throughout Canada, for the benefit of all Canadians. And it is through the Health Check Up initiative that we can reach the audience most in need of information: Canadians.
FPSC is encouraging CFP® professionals to hold Financial Planning Week Health Check Ups in communities across Canada. FPSC has dedicated time and resources to ensure that you don’t have to! We’ve created a resource kit full of tools to support your efforts to promote financial planning (and Financial Planning Week).
Use these materials to put on a presentation or a Check Up session, or maybe you just want to display the postcards or some of the posters in your branch or office. Your efforts, big or small, will help us get the conversation started.
